NaNo Update

Day One: I wrote for about two hours this morning, and about two hours just now.  I'm at 5121 5343 words.  I suspect I'll write more later tonight, but we shall see what the evening brings.  I'm over my goal for today (5000), so we'll see.  Now I'm off to see a movie!  Whee!

Kevin Smith has a new one out, you know...and it's not like we can miss that in this house!

Word update: So, while hubby is busy with the Texas-Texas Tech game, I'm up to 6348 6979 7193 7276 8901 words!  Woo-hoo!  (Posting here is keeping me motivated to continue writing, so bear with me, friends! I think that 7276 just might do me in for the night, though...I'm suddenly quite sleepy!  So, a second wind, a second cup of tea, and a great ending to that Longhorn-Red Raider game gave me another boost!  8901 it is for the day!)

Movie update: Zack and Miri-well, if you're a Kevin Smith fanatic (or you live with one of your own creation, like I do) and you can handle his sense of humor, then this movie is an enjoyable way to wile away a few hours.  If not, then you probably won't care for it.  Be warned, though, that this one is a lot more in your face Kevin that some others (meaning that great NC-17 debate was an actual debate) All in all, I do believe my Smith-O-Meter would put this one in the last spot for now (only because the story was a little weak and predictable and it hasn't had time to properly stew in my brain yet), but that is always subject to change, like my word count!  *grin*

Clerks ->  Chasing Amy -> Clerks II ->Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back -> Jersey Girl -> Mallrats -> Zack and Miri.

So, that was hard...and I'm just not so sure now about Zack and his pals.  Hm...and Jersey Girl is a very sweet film.  And Mallrats does have its moments.  Hm...but I'll stay with this order for now.  It's not hard and fast, like the Holy Trilogy and its pals (Empire -> Jedi -> A New Hope -> Sith -> Clones -> Menace), but it'll do.

Nice going! Way to start the month!

Thanks. I'm in the theater now, waiting for movie to start. We were early, so I'm playing with my phone so I don't eat all the popcorn early! The novel just did that thing that they do. New character just hijacked everything, but she's going to prove useful, I think. I can't wait to know her more.

Little green, lotta proud. You go.

<-tons of help it has been...you get faster and better with practice, methinks.

Oh, and the current word count is in the meter at the side, although it's out of date now. I'm at 11067 now.

So, I was thinking, I can't head for a brand new novel thing, because I am not that prolific and whatnot, but then I thought about That Monster Fic of mine...the first I wrote, that I have yet to finish. The bulk of the actual *content* was written over a couple weekends, and it's almost 20,000 words...just been going on for like 3 years or so. I may just have to use this as my reason to Finally Get It Done. ;)

You have a very nifty counter thingie ;) Still proud of you *BG*

It's from http://www.zokutou.co.uk/wordmeter/

[livejournal.com profile] lfvoy pointed me that way. Super easy to do.

And as far as that first part, any excuse will do, mate.

I haven't written anything today, but I probably will in a bit. Little Ashley is trying to tell me she's telepathic now, but I'm trying to tell her that this isn't a sci-fi story. She's not listening. Damn character hijackings!
