East Carolina University's mascot is a Pirate. The campus is 30 minutes from my house. Too bad they lost the grudge match with the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (my alma mater)today. Many a mug of rum drowned sorrows in my community this afternoon.

I'm particularly imprssed that it includes six functional canons. I hate pirate ships with non-canonical equipment. I do wonder which canons, though . . . but if we don't like the 'ship, we can always throw one or more overboard and play matchmaker with the survivors!
