I have so much to say about Rogue One, but for now, I say only this:

Rogue One is the prequel Star Wars fans deserve.

It's a Star Wars prequel made by people who care about Star Wars, and it shows in every way.

I 1,000% agree with this post! Where the heck was this director when Lucas decided to make the prequel trilogies? They could have used him and then maybe the prequels wouldn't have been so crappy. (I don't hate Revenge of the Sith, although it has the biggest continuity errors compared to the other two prequels in terms of what's actually supposed to match up with the originals.)

Indeed.

I no longer have any feelings at all about the other prequels (we'll go with "other prequels" for now). It's been years since I've seen them and they're just...whatever.

But what you can't do is try to make them make sense. I went to see Rogue One (the first time) with someone who asked a continuity question that involved the other prequels after watching it, and I was just "see, you're trying to make the prequels make sense" and he was all "oh, right."

Because they were just so sloppy.

Amongst many other things.

But no matter.

Rogue One has saved us.

So, so, so good.
