Ah, I understand, though I would also understand if you just chose not to have a TV. As for computers, I got a new one for my birthday last year, and, well... *contented sigh*
Much higher on my priority list than TV. (In fact, I'm considering adding a Blue Ray drive to my computer, but not considering getting a Blue Ray player.) My old computer (rest in peace, Carson) was about 8 years old...and, well...one day it decided to not play videos or let me edit LJ posts...it was time.
As for turning on extra, we're a one TV house, so...

No television either, which isn't as much of a story as it sounds like. I've been thinking of fixing that.
I have everything I need (including Serenity) on DVD, which I can watch on my computer.
I do too, although I've discovered that some of my DVDs don't get along very well with my computer. See above about "thinking of fixing that."
