NaNo Day 3

Well, my Pauley theme has taken my word counter, but I'm not ready to switch back, so...here goes:

I made it to 15 K in three days, after all!  WOOT!  15,062!

*iz dead...and completely at the mercy of a fictional twelve year old girl, but that's ok*

Go you! That means you'll make it to WIN in ten days, right?

I could probably do 50K in 10 WRITING days, but not all days are writing days. Today, for example, was a working day, complete with total maroons who kept me at work way later than usual. So...today is not likely to be a writing day, or maybe it will be an average writing day...but it will not be a crazy writing day. 2K is about my limit for most days. 1K is like breathing, though...most days that is fairly easy. (Note I said most days...some days...it's not so easy to do either one.) For a while earlier this year, I was writing 1K a day whether I wanted to or not, just because Stephen King says to do so in his book On Writing. So I got to where it wasn't so hard to do. When I'm on a fic tear (usually when I discover a new fandom), I tend to go a little crazy and I write like a lunatic, so I wasn't all that intimidated by 50K in 30 days...but you never know...I'm losing a bit of steam now...it's that one topic thing that does it...thirty 1K word stories? No problem. I did that last December. One novel? Ugh.

I know that there are many days coming up that I won't be able to write much, if at all, so I had to get a good chunk done now. My goal was 5K a day the first three days (because I was off work), and while that didn't happen per se, it averaged out that way, so it's all good.

It is written that one day a sign shall be carried to a large gathering of people, and upon this placard shall be inscribed the following:

NATHAN 1:13.

And the world shall see and shall see that it is good.
