I find the exact choice of year here supremely ironic. For in 1977, there occurred a momentous event. It happened on May 25. Thousands lined up outside of theaters to see the film that changed everything...and I was drooling on myself in my crib, most likely. Ah, born just a bit too late for the queue, but not so far removed that I missed the magic entirely. Oh, yeah, I'd take 1977, thanks. Good choice, quiz. Oh, right, and I snagged this from the beautiful and talented lothithil .

Neener neener . . . I was in the queue. Later that summer, true, but it was still a queue. (It actually took a little time for the queues to build up in the rest of the country.) Wrapped halfway around the damned block. I don't even remember how I ended up there -- I rarely went to movies back then. But it actually did change my life.
