Paul, laughing and dancing like he did when they were young. Paul, joyful and carefree like he hadn’t been in ages, reminding Hugh of the man he’d worried might never see the light of day again.

No, much like most of Discovery’s crew thinking they’d hallucinated their ship’s doctor dressed in (far) more than one color (thanks to Paul and Ricky), Hugh might’ve thought he’d had too much to drink.

Except for two things:

One, they’d served synthehol.

And two, he vividly remembered sharing in that joy.
