She quit on me.

Didn’t give me no choice in the matter.

She just up and left me high and dry when I needed her most.

Still, it was probably my fault.

I can admit that.

If I’d cared for her better (though I don’t see how I coulda), she’d be with me now.

But she ain’t here. I had to bring a replacement.

Ain’t no match for the real thing.

Dammit, Vera! This piece of go-se’s got nothin’ on you.

Why’d you have to jam up like you did?

And why do I feel like I’m having an affair?
