Indecision May Or May Not Be My Problem

Well, I've started this post with a Jimmy Buffett quote...

...and I'm going to continue it with one from Mallrats:

Brandi: If you were a comic book character, what character would you be?

Brodie: Wow.  That's a great question.  Tough one, though.  I mean, what does one gauge his response on?  Physical prowess, keen detection skills, the ability to banter well with supervillains...

Pretty much.  For a true brain-teaser, check out Star Trek Smackdown from The Paley Center.  They want to know who should take on Captain James T. Kirk for an ultimate leader showdown.  Several notable sci-fi personages make an appearance.  In this one, they help us out a bit.  They want the best leader, which does guide me along certain lines, but...hm...on this one, a long time must I think.

I wanna see a Kirk/Spock smackdown!... And, yes. I am excited about the new Star Trek movie. :D

Not me. Boring. Everyone knows who would win that! (see icon)

And once again, for this poll, it's best LEADER. I don't think either one of them would get my vote. Best leader isn't necessarily your favorite. You have to look at them objectively and whatnot. Not an easy thing.

Well, Spock becomes a revolutionary leader in the TGN-era with the Vulcan/Romulan conflict. But, of the the fight scenes I remember (it's been a while since I've watched full TOS episodes), I remember a lot of the fights looking like the actors were trying not to hurt each other. That's part of the reason why I'm excited for the new Star Trek film.

Also, I'm throwing the fallowing scene into the conversation, just because. The way Kirk shakes Spock cracks me up!

That's true of TNG Spock. Spock definitely is a better leader than Kirk, but better than Jean-Luc? Better than Jack O'Neill? Hm...not sure there. I think sometimes the Vulcan thing would be a problem - hard to get men to follow you when they think you can't relate to them, etc. Then again, I guess your followers don't have to be men, huh? And Spock certainly has it all over Tuvok, from VOY, who was all Vulcan and quite young, really. Yes, he's a good choice.

I'm skeptical of the new ST film. Will I see it? Yes. Have I been excited about it? Yes. But am I still leery and growing more so the closer it gets? Yes. We shall see.

As for the vid-wonderful!

Ditto about the anticipa/trepida-tion re: movie.
Nice Yoda-speak in the last bit of your orig post ;)
I was down to 2. Some of that is some unfamiliarity with a couple of the options, but I really thought long and hard about 2 candidiates. Candidates who could really lead, and could beat Kirk at his own game (and just dirty enough to pull it off). If you get a chance, watch the vids they have (esp the Mal one. Though they didn't have any SG ones. Bastards.)
I know who I picked. But those being polled do not agree. They agree with my other choice. So I am pleased either way, I guess.

I also am down to two, but have not chosen yet. This one, a long time have I watched...never his mind on where he was! What he was doing! ;)
