She barely heard him.

She’d been halfway to the bathroom already.

And his words didn’t make sense.

Well, not in this place, anyway.

But as her brain reran them, she knew she’d heard correctly, and the words were the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.

The tears came hot and fast then. She couldn’t stop them.

And she didn’t want to. Not with memories of popcorn and Peter in her head.

Eventually, the tears stopped, and she had to laugh sadly.

Because of all things to be constant in this place, why did it have to be Star Wars?
